Overview
  • ­ The RAPs were prepared in line with the World Bank OP 4.12 and the Resettlement Policy Framework.
  • ­ They were prepared in response to mitigative measures in relation to the project proposals related impacts in the respective communities the project was implemented
Description of Services
  1. Enumeration of project-affected persons, the severity and extent of the impacts;
  2. Generation of a list of the vulnerable groups and development of strategies to ensure that they proactively benefit from the project;
  3. Adequate consultation and involvement of all the PAPs and other stakeholders;
  4. Provision of guidance on the legal and other institutional frameworks governing resettlement as outlined in the World Bank policies and the Kenyan law;
  5. Development of mitigation measures in consultation with the affected people;
  6. Preparation of a detailed entitlement matrix and an implementation plan;
  7. Preparation of an implementation budget for the RAP
  8. Putting in place a monitoring, evaluation and reporting system for the Resettlement Plan
