5. Preparation of Local Physical Development Plan for the centre and approval of the plan.

Overview
  • The project was an initiative of the Nyeri County Government and it was meant to provide a new sustainable physical development plan and guidelines to foster growth of the market centre.
Description of Services
  • Determining demographic status of the market center
  • Identification of the development potentials of the planning area
  • Modelling of the expected impact of the proposed adjacent roads infrastructural projects i.e. the proposed interchange and Bypass
  • Provision of a basis for infrastructure networks laying
  • Provision of a basis for development control regulations
  • Identification of environmental issues and concerns affecting Marua Centre residents
  • Formulation of riparian land management strategies given the proximity of the center to River Sagana
  • Planning to allocate sufficient space for various land uses to ensure efficient function and convenience of users and accommodate future growth
  • Reorganization of land uses to fit new demands
  • Development of plans implementation and monitoring framework
